WLAN-repeater TP-Link AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender

The TP-Link AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE205) increases existing Wi‑Fi coverage by connecting wirelessly to your router and rebroadcasting the signal to areas with weak or no reception. It supports dual‑band operation with 2.4 GHz (up to 300 Mbps) and 5 GHz (up to 433 Mbps), external antennas for improved signal strength, and an Ethernet port to create a dual‑band access point from a wired connection.

Advantages

The RE205 extends wireless coverage and reduces signal interference to provide more reliable Wi‑Fi across home or office spaces. Its dual‑band design lets you distribute devices across 2.4 GHz for basic browsing and 5 GHz for gaming or HD streaming. An Intelligent Signal LED indicates optimal placement, and a built‑in Access Point mode lets you convert a wired Ethernet connection into dual‑band Wi‑Fi. The unit is compact, white, and includes LED indicators for power, signal strength and WLAN.

Suitable for

• Eliminating Wi‑Fi dead zones in apartments or houses
• Providing better wireless coverage for small offices
• Connecting streaming devices or gaming consoles on 5 GHz
• Extending basic web and email access on 2.4 GHz
• Converting a wired Ethernet point into a wireless access point

Key specifications

• Model: TP‑Link RE205 (AC750)
• Wi‑Fi bands: 2.4 GHz (up to 300 Mbps), 5 GHz (up to 433 Mbps)
• Wi‑Fi standards: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac
• Ethernet: 1 × RJ‑45 LAN (10/100 Mbps)
• Antennas: External
• Product colour: White
• Typical power consumption: 6.5 W
• Certifications: CE, FCC, RoHS

How to use

Plug the RE205 into a power outlet within range of your existing router and follow the setup steps using the TP‑Link Tether app on an Android or iOS device or the web management page. Use the Intelligent Signal LED to find the best installation spot where signal strength is optimal. Optionally, connect an Ethernet cable to the RE205’s LAN port to enable Access Point mode and broadcast dual‑band Wi‑Fi from a wired connection.

Recommendations

Place the extender roughly midway between your router and the area with weak signal, avoiding large metal objects and sources of interference. For bandwidth‑heavy tasks such as 4K streaming or online gaming, connect devices to the 5 GHz band; use 2.4 GHz for general browsing and IoT devices.
