Hama 00110822 keukenthermometer wit

The Xavax 110822 kitchen appliance thermometer monitors internal temperatures in refrigerators and freezers to help maintain food safety. Its compact, analogue design features a colour temperature scale and a mercury-free display. The thermometer measures from -35 °C to +40 °C and is suitable for domestic and professional use where monitoring cold storage temperatures is required.

Advantages

The colour analogue scale provides clear, easy-to-read temperature indication while remaining mercury-free for safer handling. With a measuring range from -35 °C to +40 °C it covers the recommended refrigerator range (2–8 °C) and freezer range (at least −18 °C). Regular temperature monitoring helps keep food fresher for longer and reduces bacterial growth, preventing unnecessary food waste.

How to use

Place the thermometer inside the refrigerator or freezer in a visible position away from the door and not directly adjacent to vents or cooling elements. Allow the thermometer to stabilise for several hours to display an accurate internal temperature. Check the reading regularly to ensure temperatures remain within the recommended ranges and act if the indicator shows a rise that could affect food safety.

Recommendations

For reliable monitoring place the thermometer near the centre of the compartment and avoid frequent door openings while measuring. If the temperature moves outside recommended limits, check door seals, cooling settings and food placement; if necessary discard perishable items exposed to unsafe temperatures.
