Zebra 3005848 21×21 mm thermal label paper is a roll of direct thermal labels designed for fast on-demand printing without the need for ribbons or toner. Each roll contains small square labels that produce clear, black-on-white prints suitable for short-term identification tasks. The product is intended for use in compatible direct thermal printers and fits applications where non-rub resistance and limited outdoor exposure are acceptable. Its compact label size makes it convenient for pricing, tagging and batch marking in environments that require frequent, high-speed label output.

Advantages

The direct thermal construction allows immediate printing by heat activation, eliminating the expense and handling of ribbons. The 21×21 mm square format offers a compact footprint for discrete labels while delivering legible text and simple barcodes. Rolls are easy to load into most compatible printers, supporting continuous, on-demand workflows and reducing downtime. The paper face yields consistent print contrast under normal indoor conditions and is suitable for short-term identification and inventory tasks.

Suitable for

• Retail price labeling and small item tagging
• Inventory counts and shelf labeling
• Parcel or small-package identification in logistics
• Batch marking and product tracking in warehousing
• Temporary labeling where long-term durability is not required

Key specifications

• Label size: 21 × 21 mm square
• Technology: direct thermal (no ribbon required)
• Material: thermal paper face suitable for indoor use
• Print color: black-on-white (thermal reaction)
• Roll format: single-roll for use in compatible thermal printers

How to use

Install the roll in a compatible direct thermal printer following the printer manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the thermal side of the paper faces the print head. Configure label dimensions in the printer driver or label software to 21×21 mm and select appropriate print density and speed settings for clear output. Feed the roll and perform a test print to confirm alignment and contrast. Print labels as needed; since the product is direct thermal, avoid exposing printed labels to prolonged heat, sunlight, or chemical solvents to preserve legibility.

Recommendations

Store rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Use labels in indoor environments or under short-term exposure conditions; avoid prolonged outdoor use or contact with oils and solvents. For longer-lasting prints or heavy handling, consider using thermal transfer labels with a compatible ribbon instead of direct thermal options.
