Zijafdekking EK Water Blocks EK-Quantum Vector2 Strix RTX 3080/90 nikkel roestvrijstaal

EK-Quantum Vector² Strix RTX 3080/90 ABP Side Cover - Nickel is a metal plate designed to cover the gap between a compatible water block and the active backplate on Strix RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards. Constructed from nickel-plated aluminum, the side cover is intended for use only together with the matching EK water block and active backplate and conceals the terminal side of the PCB so no PCB components are exposed.

Advantages

The nickel-plated aluminum construction provides a clean, corrosion-resistant finish and matches EK Vector² water block components. By covering the PCB terminal side, the side cover improves the visual appearance of the GPU build and contributes to a more uniform airflow path around the water block and backplate junction.

Suitable for

• ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 with EK-Quantum Vector² water block and active backplate
• ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 with EK-Quantum Vector² water block and active backplate
• Custom liquid-cooled GPU builds requiring a matching side cover for the Vector² ABP series

Key specifications

• Material: Nickel-plated aluminum
• Compatibility: EK-Quantum Vector² Strix RTX 3080/90 water block + active backplate
• Manufacturer part number (MPN/EAN): 3831109891407
• Function: Covers PCB terminal side between water block and active backplate

How to use

Install the side cover only after the EK-Quantum Vector² water block and active backplate have been mounted according to EK Water Blocks' installation instructions. Align the cover to hide the terminal side of the PCB and secure it using the screws or fasteners supplied with the water block/backplate kit. Do not attempt to install the side cover without the matching water block and active backplate, as it is not a stand-alone component.

Recommendations

Ensure compatibility with your specific Strix RTX 3080/3090 PCB revision and follow the manufacturer's installation guide. Clean contact surfaces before assembly and avoid overtightening fasteners to prevent damage to the cover or PCB.
