Zyxel WAX630S 2400 Mbit/s wit Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The Zyxel WAX630S is a dual-band WiFi 6 access point delivering up to 2.90 Gbps aggregated wireless throughput and support for 6 spatial streams (4x4 in 5 GHz and 2x2 in 2.4 GHz). It includes OFDMA and MU‑MIMO for improved multi-device efficiency, a 2.5 Gbps multi-gigabit Ethernet port plus a second 1 Gbps LAN port, WPA3 security and Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for flexible installations. The device is designed for environments requiring reliable high-capacity wireless access such as schools, hotels and retail spaces.

Advantages

The WAX630S provides ultra-fast and consistent wireless performance with smart antenna technology that adaptively shapes antenna patterns to reduce co‑channel interference and maintain stable connections in high‑density environments. Built with high‑quality components, it offers durable hardware and long service life. Multi‑gigabit Ethernet and 2.90 Gbps WiFi speed allow higher network capacity without re‑cabling existing infrastructure. NebulaFlex Pro support enables flexible management: cloud, controller or standalone modes.

How to use

Mount the access point in a central, elevated location for best coverage and connect the primary Ethernet port to your network switch or PoE injector. Power the unit via PoE or an appropriate power source, then configure network settings using your preferred management mode: Nebula cloud management, on‑premises controller, or standalone web/CLI. Create SSIDs, apply security policies (WPA3 recommended), and allocate SSID radio settings to separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz usage. Verify client connections and adjust placement or antenna orientation if needed to optimize coverage and throughput.

Recommendations

For high‑density deployments, enable OFDMA and MU‑MIMO features and use the smart antenna option to mitigate co‑channel interference. Prefer the 5 GHz band for bandwidth‑intensive applications and reserve 2.4 GHz for legacy or low‑bandwidth devices. Monitor performance via Nebula or controller tools and place additional access points to maintain consistent coverage in large areas.
