2-weg passieve luidspreker Omnitronic VFM-212 MK2, 200 W belastbaarheid, 8 Ω impedantie

The Omnitronic VFM-212 MK2 is a 2-way passive speaker designed for PA and live sound applications. With a dedicated woofer and a high-frequency driver, it delivers clear midrange and bass reproduction alongside defined high frequencies. The speaker is specified for 200W power handling and operates at an 8 Ω nominal impedance, making it compatible with a wide range of amplifiers suitable for small to medium venues, rehearsal spaces and portable sound systems.

Advantages

The enclosure design separates low/mid and high-frequency transducers to reduce interference and improve frequency clarity across the audible range. A 200W power rating provides headroom for transient peaks while the 8 Ω impedance ensures compatibility with many common amplifier outputs. The balanced tonal character supports both speech and music applications, and the passive configuration allows selection of amplifiers and processors according to system needs.

How to use

Connect the Omnitronic VFM-212 MK2 to a compatible amplifier that can deliver appropriate power into an 8 Ω load. Position the speaker to cover the intended listening area, keeping a clear line of sight from the driver to the audience for optimal high-frequency dispersion. Adjust amplifier gain and any connected signal processing so that typical program material plays without sustained clipping; use moderate equalization to suit room acoustics and application. For portable setups, secure the cabinet on suitable stands or place it on a stable surface to avoid unwanted vibration.

Recommendations

Use an amplifier with power rating roughly matching or slightly exceeding the speaker's 200W program rating while observing recommended impedance matching. Avoid prolonged operation at distortion or clipping levels; occasional short peaks are acceptable but sustained overload shortens driver life. For extended low-frequency performance, consider adding a subwoofer and apply appropriate crossover settings where available.
