ABUS LD1118 blusdeken 100 x 100 cm glasvezel rood DIN EN 1869:2001 86672

In a busy restaurant kitchen, a pan of oil suddenly ignites. The chef grabs the ABUS LD1118 fire blanket from its wall-mounted case, pulls the tabs, and calmly drapes it over the flames. Within seconds, the fire is smothered. This is the scenario the LD1118 is built for: quick, reliable suppression of small fires before they escalate. Made from tightly woven fiberglass, it cuts off the oxygen supply and withstands high temperatures, making it an essential safety tool for kitchens, workshops, laboratories, and anywhere a fire could start.

Unlike extinguishers, it requires no training or maintenance—just pull and cover. With DIN EN 1869:2001 certification from MPA Dresden, you can trust its performance when it matters most.

Ideal use cases

• Kitchens: smother grease fires, stove-top flare-ups, and small appliance fires
• Workshops and garages: control fires from solvents, paints, or welding sparks
• Laboratories: handle chemical or electrical fires safely
• Offices and public buildings: meet fire safety regulations with a certified blanket
• Camping and outdoor activities: portable protection for cooking areas

Good to know

The LD1118 is a single-use item—after deployment, it must be replaced. Store it in a dry, easily accessible location, ideally near potential fire sources. The blanket can also be used as a protective wrap when escaping through a fire-affected area. Regular visual inspections are recommended to ensure the packaging is intact. With its robust construction and trusted ABUS quality, the LD1118 is a smart addition to any fire safety plan.
