Accesspoint HPE Aruba AP-503-RW 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6

The HPE Aruba AP-503-RW is a dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 access point offering up to 1.49 Gbps aggregate real‑world throughput (HE80/HE20). Designed for medium‑density environments such as schools, midsize offices and retail locations, the AP‑503‑RW supports operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and can associate up to 256 clients per radio (512 clients total). It includes a single RJ‑45 Ethernet port and supports Power over Ethernet for simplified installation, while security is provided through WPA3, WPA2 and WPA protocols.

Advantages

The AP-503-RW delivers cost‑effective, high‑performance connectivity for organizations with growing device counts due to mobility, cloud adoption or IoT. With Wi‑Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) support and backward compatibility with previous 802.11 standards, it provides improved capacity and efficiency in medium‑density venues. Its compact white design and PoE support reduce installation complexity and cabling requirements.

Suitable for

• Schools and educational facilities
• Midsize office spaces
• Retail stores and small commercial venues
• IoT device deployments in medium‑density areas

How to use

Mount the access point in a central location appropriate for coverage, connect it to a PoE‑capable switch or PoE injector using the RJ‑45 Ethernet port, and power it on. Use the Aruba management interface or your network controller to adopt the AP, configure SSIDs, security settings (WPA3/WPA2/WPA) and radio parameters for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Verify client connectivity and adjust placement or radio settings as needed to optimize coverage and performance.

Recommendations

For best results in medium‑density deployments, enable Wi‑Fi 6 features on both the AP and compatible client devices, plan placement to minimize interference, and use PoE to simplify cabling. Monitor client counts per radio and adjust channel widths and transmit power to balance capacity and coverage.
