Draadloos access point Grandstream GWN7604 2.4 GHz 5 GHz

The Grandstream GWN7604 is a compact dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point operating on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a maximum wireless throughput of 867 Mbit/s. It integrates a four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch — including one uplink port that can accept PoE/PoE+ to power the device and two PSE-enabled ports that provide both power over Ethernet and network connectivity for other devices. The unit is white, lightweight (0.253 kg), and designed for straightforward deployment in small offices, retail spaces, or hospitality environments.

Advantages

The GWN7604 combines Wi-Fi 6 performance with an integrated Gigabit switch and PoE capabilities to simplify cabling and reduce the need for additional power adapters. Dual-band support ensures compatibility with a wide range of client devices while security protocols such as WEP, WPA and WPA2 help protect wireless connections. Compact size and multiple Ethernet ports allow flexible placement and connection of wired devices.

Suitable for

• Small offices and home offices (SOHO)
• Retail stores and point-of-sale terminals
• Hospitality areas, small meeting rooms and guest Wi‑Fi
• Environments requiring a compact AP with PoE-powered downstream devices

Key specifications

• Wireless standards: Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax), dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz
• Maximum wireless data rate: 867 Mbit/s
• Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports: 4 × Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbit/s)
• PoE: one uplink port supports PoE/PoE+ input; two ports provide PoE output (PSE)
• Antennas: 2 integrated
• Colour: White
• Weight: 0.253 kg
• Security: WEP, WPA, WPA2

How to use

Mount the GWN7604 in the desired location and connect the uplink Ethernet port to a PoE/PoE+ injector or switch to power the access point. Use the remaining Gigabit ports to connect wired devices or to provide PoE power to compatible devices via the PSE ports. Complete initial configuration through the Grandstream web interface, cloud management service or a local controller, setting SSIDs, security (WPA2 recommended) and network parameters as required.

Recommendations

Place the access point centrally relative to client devices, avoid strong physical obstructions and configure separate SSIDs or VLANs for guest and corporate traffic when necessary. Use PoE/PoE+ capable uplink equipment to ensure stable power delivery and limit the number of high-bandwidth clients per AP to maintain optimal performance.
