Accesspoint TP-Link Omada AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 2,4 GHz 5 GHz

The TP-Link Omada AX1800 (EAP623-Outdoor HD) is a dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 access point designed for indoor and outdoor deployment. Supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a combined maximum throughput of up to 1800 Mbps, the device integrates professional high-power antennas and an IP67 weatherproof enclosure for reliable operation in open and challenging environments. It supports Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for flexible installation and can be managed as part of the Omada SDN platform.

Advantages

Equipped with Wi‑Fi 6 technology, the access point delivers higher data rates (up to 1.8 Gbps) and improved efficiency in dense client scenarios through OFDMA and MU‑MIMO. Smart antenna design with horizontal and vertical polarization and high-power amplifiers enables extended coverage and reduced interference. The IP67 enclosure ensures resistance to dust and water, while PoE support and Omada mesh capability simplify flexible deployment and centralized management.

Suitable for

• Outdoor venues and large open areas (parks, campuses, stadium perimeters)
• High-density deployments with many simultaneous clients (outdoor events, public hotspots)
• Locations requiring weatherproof wireless coverage (terraces, building exteriors)

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi‑Fi 6)
• Frequency bands: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (dual-band)
• Maximum data rate: 1800 Mbps (AX1800)
• Antennas: 2 professional high-power antennas (horizontal and vertical polarization)
• Ethernet: 1 × Gigabit RJ-45 (10/100/1000 Mbps), PoE support
• Ingress protection: IP67 weatherproof enclosure
• Color: White

How to use

Mount the access point according to site requirements ensuring antennas have clear line-of-sight where possible. Connect the device to a PoE-capable switch or PoE injector using the Gigabit Ethernet port to provide both power and network connectivity. Use the Omada SDN controller or local setup interface to configure SSIDs, security settings (WPA3/WPA2), radio parameters, and client policies. For outdoor mesh deployment, enable Omada mesh features and follow standard channel planning to minimize interference.

Recommendations

For optimal performance in high-density outdoor scenes, place units to provide overlapping coverage without excessive co-channel overlap, enable OFDMA and MU‑MIMO features, and ensure firmware is up to date. Use shielded and weather-rated cabling and PoE equipment suitable for outdoor installations.
