ACT 2m DisplayPort-stekker naar VGA-stekker conversiekabel (AK3999)

In a conference room, a presenter connects a modern laptop with only DisplayPort output to an older projector or monitor that still uses VGA. The ACT 2m DisplayPort to VGA conversion cable makes this connection effortless. With a DisplayPort male connector on one end and a VGA male connector on the other, this cable is ideal for linking a DisplayPort-equipped computer to a VGA display, projector, or monitor. The active conversion ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices, delivering a clear, high-quality video signal up to 1920 x 1200 resolution. The 2-meter length provides flexibility in setup, whether at a desk, in a meeting room, or in a classroom. The cable is plug-and-play, requiring no additional drivers or software, and it is bus-powered, drawing power directly from the DisplayPort source, so no external power adapter is needed. Its black PVC jacket and gold-plated connectors ensure durability and reliable signal transmission, while double shielding minimizes interference. Please note that VGA does not support audio, so a separate audio cable is required for sound.

Why choose it

This cable is a reliable solution for connecting newer DisplayPort devices to legacy VGA displays. The 2-meter length offers flexibility without excess clutter, and the double shielding protects against electromagnetic interference, maintaining signal integrity in busy environments.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a laptop or desktop with DisplayPort to an older monitor or projector with VGA input.
• Presentations in meeting rooms, classrooms, or conference halls where VGA projectors are still common.
• Extending or mirroring a display for productivity or entertainment purposes.
• Use in offices, schools, or home setups that require a simple, reliable video connection.

Good to know

VGA is an analog video standard and does not carry audio. For audio, a separate cable or speakers connected to the source device are necessary. The cable is compatible with most DisplayPort sources, but ensure your device supports DP++ (dual-mode) for passive operation; however, this active cable works even without DP++ support. The cable is HDCP compliant for protected content when used with compatible devices, though VGA output typically does not support HDCP. For best results, use with displays that support the resolutions listed.
