ACT AK3735 videokabel-adapter 2 m HDMI type A (Standard) DVI-D zwart

The ACT HDMI Type A to DVI-D video cable adapter AK3735 is a 2 m black cable designed for digital video transmission between HDMI source devices and DVI‑D displays. It features an HDMI Type A (Standard) connector on one end and a DVI‑D single-link connector on the other, with full copper 30 AWG conductors and gold-plated connectors for reliable signal transfer. The cable supports up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz and is supplied as a single jacketed lead suitable for monitors, projectors and video cards.

Advantages

The cable provides bidirectional conversion between HDMI and DVI‑D without active electronics, allowing a straightforward wired connection between compatible devices. Its 2 m length offers flexibility for typical desktop and AV setups, while copper conductors and gold-plated contacts reduce signal loss and corrosion risk. Support for 4K@60Hz ensures compatibility with high-resolution sources and displays that accept single-link DVI‑D signals up to the stated resolution.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This passive cable does not convert analogue signals (DVI‑A) or carry audio; DVI‑D only transmits digital video, so an external audio connection is required if sound is needed. It also relies on single‑link DVI‑D bandwidth—while it supports 3840 x 2160@60Hz in compatible setups, some DVI‑D ports or older devices may not support full 4K throughput.

How to use

Connect the HDMI Type A male end to the HDMI output of your source device and the DVI‑D male end to the DVI‑D input of your display. Ensure both devices are powered and set the display input to the DVI or HDMI port as required. If audio is needed, route sound separately because DVI‑D does not carry audio. Avoid bending the cable sharply and secure connections to prevent accidental disconnection.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For reliable performance, connect devices while powered off when possible, avoid tight bends at connector ends, and test display settings after connection to ensure the desired resolution and refresh rate are active.
