ACT blauw 1,5 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel met rastnasbescherming en RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Blue 1.5 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers and other network environments with limited space. Its slimline construction (approximately 3.8 mm diameter) reduces cable bulk compared with regular CAT6A patch cords, improving routing and airflow in racks and cabinets. The cable uses U/FTP shielding and snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts for reliable connections and reduced interference. The LSZH jacket provides low smoke and halogen-free properties suitable for indoor installations.

Advantages

Slimline diameter allows denser cable routing and better airflow inside cabinets. U/FTP shielding minimises crosstalk and external interference. Snagless RJ45 plugs protect the connector latch during installation. LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke and halogen release in case of fire. The 1.5 m length suits short links between active equipment in data centers.

Suitable for

• Short patching runs in data center racks and cabinets
• High-speed 10G Ethernet connections
• Tight cable channels and high-density patch panels
• Indoor installations requiring low-smoke halogen-free cables

Key specifications

• Cable type: CAT6A U/FTP slimline
• Length: 1.5 m
• Jacket material: LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen)
• Approximate diameter: 3.8 mm
• Connectors: RJ45 to RJ45, snagless with gold-plated contacts
• Shielding: individually foil-shielded pairs with overall foil
• Supports: 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short permanent link lengths

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to your network device (switch, patch panel, server NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port. Route the cable through the rack or cable management paths, respecting the smaller bending radius of slimline cables. Avoid excessive tension or tight kinks; maintain gentle curves to preserve signal integrity. Use the 1.5 m length for short links within cabinets or between adjacent racks.

Recommendations

ACT recommends accounting for the higher attenuation of very thin conductor designs by keeping permanent link lengths shorter than for standard 24 AWG patch cords. For PoE deployments, limit bundled slimline cables to a maximum of 24 in one bundle to avoid excessive temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A limits temperature increase for the center cable to less than 15 °C above ambient.
