ACT Cat 6 F/UTP installatiekabel, PVC, CPR Euroklasse ECA, 24AWG, grijs 500 meter

ACT Cat 6 F/UTP solid installation cable PVC CPR euroclass ECA 24AWG grey 500 meter is a Category 6 foiled unshielded twisted pair cable designed for structured cabling in commercial and residential installations. The cable comes on a 500 m reel with a durable PVC outer jacket and meets CPR euroclass ECA requirements. With solid 24 AWG conductors and foil screening over the pair bundle, it supports high-speed Ethernet applications while maintaining signal integrity over typical installation distances.

Advantages

The cable combines the performance characteristics of Cat 6 with foil screening to reduce external electromagnetic interference, enabling stable data transmission. A PVC jacket provides mechanical protection and ease of handling during installation, and the 500 m reel format reduces the need for splicing on long runs. Solid 24 AWG conductors promote consistent contact in punch-down blocks and connectors used in permanent link installations.

How to use

Install the ACT Cat 6 cable following standard structured cabling practices: route the cable from patch panels to outlets or between network equipment, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling tension, and maintain separation from power lines to minimize interference. Terminate on compatible keystone jacks or patch panels designed for solid conductors and test each permanent link with a certified cable tester to verify continuity, attenuation, near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and overall Cat 6 performance.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, store the reel flat or on an appropriate dispenser to prevent kinks, comply with local building codes regarding PVC-sheathed cabling, and use appropriate strain relief and cable management. When higher fire performance is required, consider alternative jackets or CPR classes.
