ACT Cat 6 F/UTP vaste installatiekabel, PVC, CPR Euroklasse ECA, 24 AWG, grijs, 500 meter

The ACT Cat 6 F/UTP Solid Installation Cable ACT 500m is a 24 AWG, 500 metre network cable designed for wired Ethernet installations requiring improved protection against electromagnetic interference. Constructed with a foil-shielded pair design (F/UTP), a solid conductor profile and a PVC outer jacket in grey, this cable supports high-speed data transmission and is intended for permanent installation in structured cabling systems. The cable meets CPR euroclass ECA for flame performance in building installations and is suitable for indoor use in residential and commercial environments.

Advantages

The foil shielding around all pairs reduces susceptibility to external EMI and crosstalk, helping to maintain signal integrity over longer runs. The solid 24 AWG conductors provide consistent impedance and physical stability for termination in keystone jacks, patch panels and wall outlets. The PVC jacket offers mechanical protection during installation and normal operation, while the cable's adherence to ECA fire performance supports compliance with many building standards.

How to use

Install the cable by routing it through cable trays, conduit or behind walls according to local building codes and installation best practices. Terminate the solid 24 AWG conductors on compatible keystone jacks or patch panels rated for Cat 6 performance, using proper stripping and punching/termination tools to avoid damaging the conductor. Maintain recommended bend radius during installation and keep cable runs separated from strong electrical interference sources. Test each run with appropriate certification or verification tools after termination to confirm performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance use this Cat 6 F/UTP cable in permanently installed horizontal and vertical links. Avoid repeated flexing or use as a patch cord; choose shielded connectors and ensure correct grounding practices when integrating shielded cabling into a system. Verify channel components are Cat 6 compliant to achieve expected data rates and run certification tests after installation.
