ACT grijs 5 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel met rastnasbeveiliging en RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Grey 5 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is a slimline datacenter Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission and space-efficient cable management. With U/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and provides reliable connectivity in racks and patch panels. The slim 3.8 mm diameter improves airflow inside cabinets compared with regular 5.9 mm CAT6A patch cords.

Advantages

The slimline 32 AWG construction reduces cable diameter and bending radius to allow denser routing and improved cabinet airflow. U/FTP shielding lowers crosstalk and external interference for stable signal quality. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The LSZH sheath minimizes smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire.

Suitable for

• Datacenter rack and cabinet connections
• High-density patch panels and switch uplinks
• Short to medium permanent link lengths where space and airflow are critical
• Network environments requiring reduced interference (U/FTP)

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6A U/FTP
• Cable length: 5 m
• Diameter: slimline approx. 3.8 mm (vs. regular 5.9 mm)
• Conductor size: 32 AWG (higher attenuation vs. 24 AWG at higher frequencies)
• Connectors: RJ-45 — gold-plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the switch, patch panel or network device and the other plug to the corresponding port. Route the cable through rack management channels or cable trays, taking advantage of the reduced bending radius for tight bends. Observe appropriate permanent link lengths: because 32 AWG conductors increase attenuation at higher frequencies, limit the permanent link distance according to your link budget and testing standards to ensure signal integrity.

Recommendations

For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline CAT6A cables to avoid excessive temperature rise. Follow ANSI TSB-184-A guidance to keep the center-cable temperature increase below 15 °C above ambient. For long links or where lower attenuation is required, consider using standard 24 AWG patch cords.
