ACT grijs 0,5 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel zonder vergrendeling met RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Grey 0.5 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is a slimline datacenter Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission in cabinets and racks. With a reduced diameter of 3.8 mm compared to regular CAT6A patch cords, it improves airflow and routing density while maintaining U/FTP shielding and LSZH jacket for safety in confined spaces. The cable uses snagless RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and is intended for short patch distances where slim, low-bend-radius cabling is required.

Advantages

The slim 3.8 mm diameter provides a lower bending radius and better airflow in densely populated cabinets compared with standard 5.9 mm CAT6A patch cords. U/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external interference, and the LSZH jacket limits smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire. Gold-plated contacts on snagless RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable connectivity and improved conductivity. The design supports use in constrained spaces and short links where reduced cable bulk is beneficial.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections in datacenter racks and network cabinets
• High-density installations requiring improved airflow and cable management
• Environments where LSZH jackets are required for safety
• Connections between network devices where 0.5 m length is appropriate

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6A U/FTP
• Length: 0.5 m
• Diameter: 3.8 mm (slimline)
• Jacket: LSZH
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, snagless, gold-plated contacts

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device and the other into the switch or patch panel port. Route the slimline cable through the cabinet or tray taking advantage of its smaller diameter to reduce congestion and maintain airflow. For best performance keep the patch length short and avoid excessive untwisting of pairs at terminations. Observe standard installation practices for CAT6A cabling and connector handling.

Recommendations

Although ISO/IEC and TIA standards typically specify patch cords between 22 and 26 AWG, this slimline cable uses thinner conductors (around 32 AWG), which increases attenuation at higher frequencies. ACT therefore recommends using shorter permanent link lengths than for standard 24 AWG patch cords to accommodate the higher attenuation. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications ACT advises a maximum bundle size of 24 cables to limit temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A limits the temperature increase for the centre cable in a bundle to less than 15 °C above ambient.
