The cable uses U/UTP construction and a reduced conductor diameter compared with standard CAT6 cords, providing a smaller overall cable diameter suitable for high-density data centre and cabinet installations.

The slimmer 28 AWG construction increases attenuation at higher frequencies; ACT recommends shorter permanent link lengths compared with 24 AWG patch cords and limiting PoE bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables to control temperature rise in PoE deployments.
