ACT Oranje 0,25 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline-patchkabel, rastnasvrij met RJ45-stekkers

The ACT Orange 0.25m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is a slimline data center Ethernet cable with snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts. With a reduced diameter (3.8 mm) compared to regular CAT6A cords, this cable offers a smaller bending radius and improved airflow in server racks and network cabinets. The LSZH jacket limits smoke emission in case of fire, making it suitable for installations with fire safety requirements.

Advantages

Slimline U/FTP construction reduces cable diameter and bending radius while maintaining CAT6A performance characteristics suitable for high-speed data transfer. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts ensure reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The LSZH outer jacket minimizes smoke and toxic gas emission. Suitable for short patch runs where space and airflow in racks are important.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections in data centers and network cabinets
• High-density rack installations where airflow is critical
• Environments requiring low-smoke zero-halogen cabling
• Connections between network equipment with RJ45 ports

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6A U/FTP
• Connector: RJ45 – RJ45, snagless
• Cable length: 0.25 m
• Diameter: approx. 3.8 mm (slimline)
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Colour: Orange

How to use

Insert the snagless RJ45 plug into the device or patch panel port until the latch clicks. For best performance, avoid sharp bends below the cable's minimum bending radius and keep the cable run short as intended for a 0.25 m patch cord. When routing in dense bundles, maintain proper separation and follow equipment manufacturer guidance for PoE loads.

Recommendations

ACT advises a maximum bundle size of 24 slimline cables for PoE applications to limit temperature rise. Using thinner 32 AWG conductors is possible but increases attenuation, especially at higher frequencies; follow ISO/IEC and TIA guidance when planning runs and consider performance impact for longer or high-frequency links.
