ACT rood 7 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patchkabel met rastnasenbescherming en RJ45-stekkers

ACT Red 7m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 is a slimline Category 6A patch cord with a 7 m length, LSZH jacket and U/FTP shielding. The cable has a reduced diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) compared with standard CAT6A patch cords and comes with snagless RJ45 connectors, making it suitable for datacenter and network cabinet use where space and airflow are important.

Advantages

The slimline design reduces bundle diameter and allows a smaller bending radius, which helps improve airflow in server racks and network cabinets. U/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference. The LSZH jacket minimizes smoke and hazardous gases in case of fire. Snagless RJ45 connectors protect the clip during installation and removal.

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network port on your switch, patch panel or device and the other end to the corresponding port. Route the slimline cable through cable management paths or trays, observing the reduced bending radius to avoid excessive stress. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the clip engages and verify link status on connected equipment.

Recommendations

Although standards commonly specify 22–26 AWG for patch cords, this slimline CAT6A uses a smaller conductor diameter; thinner conductors can increase attenuation, especially at higher frequencies. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, ACT advises keeping bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to limit temperature increase. ANSI TSB-184-A recommends that the center cable temperature rise remain under 15 °C above ambient. Consider these factors when planning high-density or PoE installations.
