Adapter DELOCK DC-holystekker 5,5 x 2,1 mm bus-naar-bus met schroefdraad, recht, zwart

DELOCK DC barrel jack adapter 5.5 x 2.1 mm female-to-female with threaded coupling and straight housing in black provides a compact, reliable way to join or extend two DC power plugs that share the common 5.5 x 2.1 mm dimension. The adapter keeps polarity and contact alignment while the threaded coupling offers a more secure mechanical connection compared with a friction-fit barrel, reducing accidental disconnection in installations with slight movement or vibration.

Advantages

The straight female-to-female adapter maintains stable electrical contact and preserves the center-positive wiring used by many low-voltage devices. The threaded coupling enhances mechanical retention and helps prevent the connectors from loosening over time. Its compact black housing is suitable for confined spaces and simple to integrate into existing power lead runs without additional tools.

How to use

Align the two male DC plugs with the adapter's female ends and screw the threaded couplings until snug to ensure solid mechanical and electrical contact. Confirm correct polarity (center positive or center negative) of both plugs before connecting to avoid damage to devices. Use the adapter in dry environments and avoid excessive force when tightening to prevent damage to the connector threads or the plug barrels.

Recommendations

For stable long-term installations, check that mating plugs are compatible with a threaded coupling and periodically inspect the connection for corrosion or looseness. Avoid using the adapter with high-current applications beyond typical small consumer electronics and follow device manufacturer guidance on acceptable connector types and ratings.
