Adapter ShiverPeaks 85323 IEC-stekker naar F-bus voor tv-/coaxiale verbindingen

The ShiverPeaks 85323 adapter converts an IEC (male) plug to an F-type connector, enabling connection between devices with IEC outputs and equipment that accepts coaxial F-inputs. Its compact inline design makes it suitable for simple antenna and coaxial TV installations where interoperability is required between TVs, set-top boxes, satellite/cable receivers and other AV devices. The adapter passes through RF signals without active electronics, providing a straightforward mechanical interface for existing cabling.

Advantages

This adapter offers a compact, low-profile solution for converting IEC to F-type connections without altering signal characteristics. Its metal connector bodies ensure reliable contact and mechanical stability in home AV setups. The inline form factor minimises cable strain and takes little space behind furniture or in equipment racks. As a passive adapter, it requires no power and is compatible with standard coaxial cables used in television and satellite installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs or tuners with IEC outputs to satellite or cable receivers with F-type inputs
• Adapting antenna leads for use with modems, set-top boxes or distribution amplifiers
• Temporary or permanent household AV installations where IEC-to-F conversion is needed

Key specifications

• Connector A: IEC (male) plug for antenna/TV outputs
• Connector B: F-type coaxial connector for satellite/cable inputs
• Design: Inline passive adapter for RF signal pass-through
• Construction: Metal connector shells for secure contact
• Application: Suitable for standard 75 Ω coaxial systems used in TV and satellite installations

How to use

To use the adapter, insert the IEC (male) plug into the IEC female socket on the source device such as a TV tuner or set-top box, and screw or push the F-type connector onto the coaxial input of the receiving device such as a satellite receiver, cable modem or distribution amplifier. Ensure connectors are fully seated and, for F-type connections, hand-tighten the threaded coupling to secure the connection. No additional configuration or power is required.

Recommendations

Use with standard 75 Ω coaxial cable and avoid excessive bending or tension at the connection points. For best signal integrity, keep connector contacts clean and ensure threaded F-type connections are snug but not overtightened. If signal loss or interference is suspected, check cable condition and connectors before replacing the adapter.
