Adapter ShiverPeaks 85331 — F-stekker (bus) naar BNC-stekker (stekker) coaxadapter

Coaxial adapter ShiverPeaks 85331 converts an F-type female socket to a BNC male plug, allowing devices with F connectors to be connected to equipment using BNC interfaces. The adapter is built with a compact metal body designed to provide stable RF signal transfer for applications such as television, satellite reception, CCTV systems and laboratory or field radio-frequency test setups. Its mechanical design supports straightforward mating between standard F sockets and BNC inputs without additional tools.

Advantages

The metal construction offers mechanical durability and effective shielding to minimise interference in signal paths. The compact form factor reduces cable strain and helps maintain a tidy installation. The adapter's simple push-and-twist BNC mating and threaded F connection ensure a reliable electrical contact suitable for both consumer and professional equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting set-top boxes and tuners with F sockets to devices with BNC inputs
• Linking satellite or terrestrial TV cabling to test equipment that uses BNC
• Adapting CCTV camera feeds for monitoring or recording devices that accept BNC
• Temporary laboratory or field RF measurement setups requiring quick interface conversion

Key specifications

• Connector type: F socket to BNC plug interface
• Material: metal housing for improved shielding and mechanical strength
• Signal type: coaxial RF for TV, satellite, CCTV and general RF measurements
• Mechanical mating: threaded F connection and bayonet BNC locking
• Size: compact inline adapter suitable for tight installation spaces

How to use

Align the adapter's F-type socket with the male F connector on the cable or device and thread it on until hand-tight. Insert the BNC male plug into the female BNC jack and engage the bayonet by pushing and twisting until it locks. Verify the connections are secure and test signal continuity with the target device or measurement instrument. No specialised tools are required for normal installation.

Recommendations

For optimal signal performance, avoid excessive bending or repeated twisting at the adapter-cable junction and keep connections clean and dry. Use the adapter for temporary or transitional connections; for permanent installations consider using uniform connector types or permanently fitted cables to minimise potential points of signal loss.
