Afdekband 3M Scotch 244, 36 mm x 50 m, kreppapier, allround

3M Scotch 244 Masking Tape, 36 mm x 50 m, is a general-purpose crepe paper masking tape designed for painting, surface protection and light bundling tasks. The tape combines a conformable crepe paper backing with an adhesive formulated to adhere reliably to a range of indoor surfaces while allowing clean removal in many common applications. Its 36 mm width and 50 m length make it suitable for multiple small- to medium-sized jobs without frequent roll changes.

Advantages

The crepe paper backing provides flexibility for wrapping around corners and irregular surfaces while maintaining dimensional stability during application. The adhesive balances tack and removability to secure edges and trim during painting yet reduce the risk of residue when removed within recommended time frames. The tape is compatible with common interior substrates such as painted walls, wood trim, glass and metal and is practical for both professional and DIY use.

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust or oil before applying the tape. Measure and cut the required length, press the tape firmly along the edge to create a tight seal, and smooth it down to avoid paint bleed. For best removal results, remove the tape slowly and steadily at a low angle, ideally within the time frame recommended for crepe paper general-purpose tapes. When using for painting, apply paint in thin coats and allow proper drying time before tape removal.

Recommendations

Use this tape primarily for indoor tasks on regular, sound surfaces. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure or use on delicate wallpapers or freshly painted surfaces that have not fully cured. Test on an inconspicuous area if unsure about adhesion or removability on a specific substrate.
