AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30M actieve optische kabel, CBO SFP28-AOC-30M-ZY-BO

The AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M is a 30-metre active optical cable with an integrated SFP28 transceiver designed for 25 Gbps links. It combines a fixed optical interface with a duplex format suitable for direct connection between SFP28 ports on servers, switches and storage devices. The cable is intended for short-reach optical connectivity inside data centres and campus network rooms, providing high-speed data transfer with reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports 25 Gbps data rates and offers low latency and stable throughput over a 30 m optical span. The integrated transceiver simplifies installation by providing a plug-and-play experience without separate optical modules or patch cords. The optical medium ensures immunity to electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity across rack-to-rack and room-to-room connections. The AOC form factor reduces cable bulk and heat output compared with equivalent copper solutions.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between 25 Gbps SFP28 ports on servers and top-of-rack or leaf switches
• Short-reach links in data centres, equipment rooms and campus network distribution
• Storage area network (SAN) and high-performance computing cluster connections where a 30 m optical link is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 integrated transceiver (duplex optical)
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel
• Length: 30 metres
• Cable type: Active optical cable with fixed transceivers
• Immunity: Not susceptible to electromagnetic interference typical for optical media

How to use

Insert each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the connector latches. No separate transceiver modules or fibre patch cords are required. Verify that the connected devices recognise the link and configure interface settings as needed for 25 Gbps operation. For best results, route the cable without sharp bends or tight kinks and avoid placing it under tension.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by its connector housings when plugging or unplugging; maintain bend radius guidelines provided by the manufacturer and keep connectors clean to ensure consistent optical performance. Use the cable within controlled data centre or equipment room environments for optimal longevity and signal stability.
