ATEN True 4K HDMI EDID-emulator adapter

The ATEN VC081A True 4K HDMI EDID Emulator Adapter emulates and stores a single EDID set from a connected HDMI display while supporting 4K (3840 x 2160) video transmission. By learning EDID data from the display and relaying it to the video source, the adapter resolves synchronization and compatibility issues between HDMI sources and displays, preventing blank or blinking screens in professional AV installations. The device is compact, lightweight and made of durable plastic, with a black finish and model number VC081A.

Advantages

The VC081A captures and saves EDID information with a dedicated Learn Button Switch, ensuring reliable handshakes between sources and displays. It supports True 4K video, reduces display communication errors, and can maintain a PC or server awake remotely by emulating the monitor’s EDID. Its small size and low weight simplify installation and transport in AV setups.

Suitable for

• Professional AV systems and conference rooms
• Video distribution and signal routing installations
• Applications requiring stable HDMI handshakes to prevent blank or flickering displays
• Setups where a source must remain active while the display is off or remote

Recommendations

Use the VC081A during installation and troubleshooting of AV systems to lock the display EDID for stable 4K transmission. Store and handle the adapter carefully to avoid damage to the plastic housing and connectors. Verify the learned EDID after major display or source changes and re-learn if needed.
