Audiokabel PROCAB PLS215/1 100m zwart koper AWG 16

The Procab PLS215/1 is a 100 m loudspeaker audio cable with 16 AWG (1.5 mm²) stranded copper conductors and a smooth black PVC jacket. Designed for both fixed installations and mobile use, this cable combines high-purity copper strands with a flexible outer sheath to provide low signal loss, mechanical durability and easy handling during installation, rolling and unrolling.

Advantages

The cable uses 25 fine copper strands per conductor, giving a balance of low electrical resistance and improved flexibility compared with single-core wires of the same cross section. The Highflex™ PVC jacket delivers good abrasion resistance and smooth pulling performance for routing through trusses or conduits, while maintaining reliable behaviour in repeated rolling and unrolling operations. The construction reduces signal attenuation over the 100 m length and supports long-term mechanical durability in both permanent and touring audio setups.

Suitable for

• Fixed loudspeaker installations in venues and studios
• Portable PA systems and stage sound setups
• Long cable runs between amplifiers and speakers
• Temporary event wiring and rental equipment use

Key specifications

• Cable length: 100 m
• Conductor type: stranded copper
• Cross section: 1.5 mm² (16 AWG)
• Stranding: 25 strands of 0.25 mm diameter per conductor
• Outer jacket: flexible, smooth PVC (black)
• Design: two-conductor loudspeaker cable

How to use

Cut the cable to the required length and strip the jacket and conductor insulation following standard audio wiring practices. Maintain polarity by marking or following the conductor identification when connecting to amplifiers and speakers. Avoid sharp bends and kinks; route the cable through trusses or conduit using the smooth jacket to ease pulling. For long runs, ensure secure terminations and proper strain relief at both ends to prevent movement and wear during use.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the Procab PLS215/1 for runs where flexibility and frequent handling are expected, and choose appropriate gauge and speaker connectors compatible with 1.5 mm² conductors. Store the cable coiled without tight loops and avoid placing heavy loads on the jacket to prolong service life.
