Audiokabel TOSLINK ShiverPeaks BS69002-15.0 15 m zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS69002-15.0 is a 15 m TOSLINK optical audio cable with male connectors on both ends, designed for transmitting digital audio signals between components that support optical S/PDIF. The cable's black jacket and connector shells provide a discreet appearance suitable for home audio, AV racks, and multimedia installations while keeping signal integrity over longer runs.

Advantages

The optical design provides galvanic isolation to prevent ground loops and electromagnetic interference, preserving clear digital audio transmission. Gold-plated contact areas at the connector interfaces improve contact reliability and resist corrosion. The 15 m length allows flexible routing between devices without the need for additional extenders or repeaters, and the robust outer jacket supports installation in typical residential or studio environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a TV to a soundbar or AV receiver using optical S/PDIF
• Linking CD/DVD/Blu-ray players or media streamers to audio processors
• Home theater setups where a longer run between devices is required
• Studio environments needing isolated digital audio links to avoid electrical noise

Key specifications

• Connector type: TOSLINK (optical, male-to-male)
• Length: 15 metres
• Conductor/medium: optical fibre for digital audio transmission
• Contact finish: gold-plating at connector interfaces
• Colour: black

How to use

Ensure both devices support optical S/PDIF input/output and that the optical ports are free of dust or obstructions. Align each TOSLINK connector with the device port and insert gently until it seats; no excessive force is required. If the cable run crosses other electrical wiring, keep a small separation to maintain optimal signal quality. Test the audio output on both source and destination devices, and verify that the source is set to output via optical audio if the sound is not immediately detected.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, avoid sharp bends or kinks in the optical fibre and secure the cable along its run with soft clips or cable ties that do not compress the jacket. When connecting or disconnecting, handle the connectors rather than pulling on the cable sheath, and store the cable coiled loosely to prevent stress on the fibre.
