Backpack DEUTER Aircontact Core 60+10 — 60 L (+10 L uitbreiding), 2,1 kg, zwart, unisex

Deuter Aircontact Core 60+10 is a unisex hiking backpack designed for multiday treks and loaded backpacking. It provides 60 litres of main storage with an additional 10 litres of expandable capacity, a ventilated back system and a padded hip belt that transfers load to the hips. With a weight of 2.1 kg and external dimensions of 840 × 340 × 290 mm, the pack is built to carry heavy loads comfortably while offering access to essentials via an expandable top section and practical details such as an SOS label.

Advantages

The ventilated back system reduces heat build-up and improves airflow during long walks. The padded hip belt shifts weight from the shoulders to the hips for improved carrying comfort on multiday routes. Expandable capacity allows flexible organisation of extra gear without changing packs. Robust construction and practical design details make the backpack suitable for sustained outdoor use.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

The pack may be less suitable for day hiking or minimalist fastpacking where a lighter, smaller pack is preferred. It is also not ideal for urban commuting where compactness and quick access are primary concerns.

How to use

Place heavier items close to the back and position the heaviest gear near the pack's centre to maintain stability. Use the expandable top section for items you need frequent access to or for extra clothing. Adjust shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt so that most of the load rests on the hips; fine-tune the fit so ventilation channels align with your back. Keep emergency information in the SOS label for easy access.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For multiday treks, distribute weight evenly, adjust straps regularly during the hike and avoid overfilling the expandable section to maintain comfort and ventilation. Store wet or dirty items in waterproof bags to protect the pack fabric and keep contents organised.
