Backpack DEUTER Aircontact Core 60+10 – 60 L (uitbreidbaar +10 L), 2,1 kg, unisex, geel

DEUTER Aircontact Core 60+10 is a 60-litre hiking backpack with a 10-litre extendable top section, designed for multi-day treks and stable load carrying. The pack weighs 2.1 kg and features a ventilated back system combined with an adjustable hip belt and ergonomic contact frame to transfer weight to the hips and reduce shoulder strain. The unisex fit and organised design, finished in yellow, include an SOS label and multiple access points for easy gear organisation.

Advantages

The ventilated back system improves airflow to limit overheating during sustained activity while the adjustable hip belt and ergonomic frame stabilise heavy loads and improve balance on uneven terrain. The expandable top compartment adds flexible volume for extra clothing or equipment, and the integrated SOS label provides an added safety detail for remote travel.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This backpack may be less suitable for ultralight day hikes or minimalist travel where a much lower pack weight and smaller volume are required. It is not a waterproof pack by itself and prolonged exposure to heavy rain requires additional waterproof protection.

Key specifications

How to use

Pack heavier items close to the back and centred to maintain stability, and place lightweight or bulky items in the expandable top compartment. Adjust the shoulder straps first, then tighten the hip belt so most of the pack weight sits on the hips. Use the ventilated back system during movement to allow airflow and periodically check and redistribute the load during long days to maintain comfort and balance.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Fit the hip belt snugly and carry the majority of weight low and close to the back for best stability on multi-day treks. Inspect attachment points and zippers before each trip and protect the pack from prolonged heavy rain with a rain cover.
