Barcodescanner Datalogic Magellan 900i met standaard, 2D-imaging, USB, zwart

Datalogic Magellan 900i with stand is a compact 2D imaging barcode scanner designed for retail and point-of-sale environments. The unit reads both 1D and 2D barcodes from paper labels and electronic screens. Supplied with a desktop stand and a USB interface, this black scanner supports hands-free presentation scanning as well as handheld operation. Its small footprint and plug-and-play USB connection simplify installation at checkout counters and inventory stations.

Advantages

The scanner offers reliable decoding of a wide range of barcode symbologies including poor-quality prints and screen-displayed codes, enabling consistent read rates in mixed retail environments. The included stand allows quick transition between hands-free and handheld modes, reducing workflow interruptions. A USB interface provides straightforward integration with point-of-sale systems and inventory software without additional adapters.

Suitable for

• Retail checkout counters and point-of-sale terminals
• Back-office inventory counting and stock management
• Mobile device screen barcode capture for loyalty and mobile payments
• Small to medium-size stores requiring compact desktop scanners

Key specifications

• Scanning technology: 2D area imaging
• Symbologies: 1D and 2D barcode support (common retail and 2D formats)
• Interface: USB connection for data and power
• Form factor: Compact handheld unit with desktop stand for presentation scanning
• Color: Black housing

How to use

Connect the scanner to a host device using the USB cable and allow the system to recognize the device. Position the scanner in the stand for hands-free scanning or remove it for handheld operation. Align the barcode within the imager’s field of view and pull the trigger or present the code to the scanner; the device will decode and transmit the barcode data via the USB connection. For screen-based codes, hold the device at a comfortable distance until the code is captured.

Recommendations

Place the scanner on a stable surface and keep the imager window clean to maintain optimum read performance. Use the stand for high-volume checkout or inventory tasks to reduce operator fatigue, and ensure the host system’s USB port supplies adequate power. For best results with poorly printed or reflective barcodes, adjust scanning distance and orientation until a reliable read is achieved.
