BlueOptics 00YL849-BL InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 2 m MiniSAS-HD zwart

The BlueOptics 00YL849-BL InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 2 m male-to-male cable with MiniSAS-HD (SFF-8644) connectors designed for high-speed data transmission in server rooms, storage arrays and network switches. The polished connector interface and fibre construction provide low signal loss and consistent performance suitable for short to medium reach interconnects where InfiniBand topology is used.

Advantages

This MiniSAS-HD fibre cable supports high bandwidth and low latency connections typical for InfiniBand environments. Its compact MiniSAS-HD connectors allow dense port configurations in racks and blade chassis while maintaining signal integrity. The 2 m length balances flexibility and minimal excess cabling, and the black jacket offers a neutral, professional appearance for rack installations.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting InfiniBand host channel adapters, switches and storage nodes
• Short to medium reach links in data centers and server rooms
• High-performance computing clusters and storage area networks (SAN)
• Environments requiring compact, high-density cabling

Key specifications

• Cable type: fibre optic for InfiniBand
• Connector type: MiniSAS-HD (SFF-8644) male to male
• Length: 2 metres
• Colour: black jacket
• Intended use: high-speed data interconnects with low latency

How to use

Inspect connector ends and cable jacket before installation to ensure no visible damage. Align each MiniSAS-HD connector with the corresponding port and insert firmly until seated; avoid forcing the connector to prevent damage to the latch mechanism. Route the cable to minimize sharp bends and secure it to rack frames or cable management accessories to reduce strain. For multi-cable installations, maintain consistent bend radii and separate fibre runs from high-interference power lines.

Recommendations

Use in controlled data centre environments and avoid exposure to excessive dust, moisture or mechanical stress. For optimal performance, pair with compatible InfiniBand hardware and verify link status after connection. When storing or transporting, coil the cable following manufacturer bend-radius guidelines to prevent microbending loss.
