Actieve optische kabel CBO SFP28-AOC-1M 1 m SFP28 Coriant-compatibel

CBO SFP28-AOC-1M 1 m SFP28 Coriant compatible is a 1-metre Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for SFP28 interfaces and compatible with Coriant equipment. It provides a short-reach optical link for 25Gbps SFP28 ports, combining low power consumption, light weight and immunity to electromagnetic interference. The cable is intended for high-density rack installations and switch-to-switch connections where reliable, low-latency data transfer is required.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable delivers 25Gbps performance over a 1 metre distance while reducing heat and power compared with DAC alternatives. Its optical transmission ensures immunity to EMI and crosstalk in dense cable environments. The AOC’s lightweight and flexible design simplifies routing in racks and trays, and the hot-pluggable SFP28 form factor enables quick insertion and replacement without system shutdowns.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack and spine switch interconnects in data centres
• Server-to-switch links for 25Gbps network ports
• Short-reach connections in high-density network cabinets
• Low-latency switch-to-switch aggregation

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 to SFP28
• Data rate: 25 Gbps (per cable)
• Length: 1 metre
• Transmission type: Active optical (AOC)
• Form factor: Hot-pluggable SFP28 modules integrated into the cable
• Cable characteristics: Lightweight, flexible optical cable with EMI immunity
• Typical use: Short-reach rack and switch interconnects

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your compatible switches or servers until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are seated securely and check link status on the devices. No additional transceivers or patch cords are required—this single-piece AOC provides a direct optical link. If the device supports vendor compatibility settings, verify that the port firmware or configuration allows operation with compatible AOC modules.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends near the connectors; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Keep connectors clean and protected from dust when not in use. For best performance, route the cable to avoid sharp edges and high-heat zones and verify link stability after installation in high-density environments.
