BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-1M-BO aqua InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 1m SC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-1M-BO Aqua InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable is a 1 meter OM3 multimode patch cable with SC/UPC connectors on both ends, designed for reliable, full-duplex optical data transmission. This Cisco-compatible fiber cable uses laser-optimized multimode fiber and a low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket to meet data center and networking environment requirements. The cable is built for low attenuation and high return-loss performance and is suitable for interconnecting patch panels, transceivers and other optical network components.

Advantages

This OM3 SC–SC patch cable delivers low input loss and high return loss thanks to quality multimode fiber and precision connectors. The LSZH sheathing reduces smoke and eliminates halogen emissions in the event of fire, supporting safer installation in enclosed spaces. BlueOptics uses branded fiber and durable zirconia ceramic ferrules to ensure stable optical performance and long connector lifetimes, and each cable is factory tested with interferometer and OTDR measurements to verify attenuation and return-loss values.

Key specifications

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before connection and clean with an appropriate fiber cleaning tool to avoid contamination. Align each SC connector with the corresponding SC port and insert until it clicks; observe proper polarity for duplex connections. Use gentle routing and avoid tight bends near the connector to maintain minimum bend radius for OM3 multimode fiber. For installations in racks or patch panels, secure the cable using cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors and maintain consistent optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment. Regularly inspect and clean connector endfaces, especially when reconnecting. For critical links, keep measurement documentation provided with the cable and verify insertion loss after installation. Select appropriate cable lengths and avoid excessive slack to reduce micro-bending losses; if different polish types or optimized return-loss levels are required, consult technical support.
