CBO AOC SFP+ kabel CBL-SFP+AOC-30M-BO, actieve optische kabel, 30 m lengte

The CBO AOC SFP+ Cable CBL-SFP+AOC-30M-BO is an active optical cable designed for 10GbE-class links between devices with SFP+ ports. With a 30 m length, the cable replaces longer copper runs by using optical transmission to maintain high data rates while reducing electromagnetic interference and cable bulk. It is intended for environments that require stable, low-latency connectivity such as data centres, server racks and high-throughput networking equipment.

Advantages

The active optical construction provides consistent 10Gbps performance with low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for dense installation environments. The 30 m length enables flexible routing in larger racks or between adjacent rooms without signal degradation typical of copper over similar distances. The SFP+ form-factor ensures direct compatibility with standard SFP+ ports, allowing plug-and-play deployment with minimal configuration.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centres
• High-throughput links between network appliances and storage systems
• Environments sensitive to electromagnetic interference
• Racks and multi-row cabinet layouts requiring longer direct-attached links

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP+ optical direct-attach (active)
• Maximum supported data rate: 10 Gbps class performance
• Cable type: multimode active optical cable
• Length: 30 metres
• Transmission medium: fiber optic (optical signals)
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Immunity: resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI)

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that both ends report link presence in the device management interface. No user configuration is typically required at the cable level; link parameters are negotiated automatically by connected equipment. Route the cable to avoid excessive bends and secure it to reduce strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight-radius bends and protect exposed connectors when not in use. Verify that connected devices support SFP+ AOC modules and confirm link speed settings in the switch or host interface. Use the 30 m active optical cable in environments where electromagnetic immunity and reduced cable weight or bulk are priorities over passive copper alternatives.
