CBO InfiniBand actieve optische kabel CBL-25GSFP28-AOC-7M-BO 7 m SFP28 aqua

The CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable CBL-25GSFP28-AOC-7M-BO is a 7 m active optical link with SFP28 connectors in aqua color, intended for high-speed interconnects between servers, switches and storage devices with SFP28 ports. This cable provides a lightweight fiber connection for short-range links in data centers and server rooms, designed to deliver low latency and reliable transmission over a seven‑metre distance.

Advantages

The active optical design reduces electrical interference and lowers insertion loss compared with longer copper assemblies, while maintaining the small form factor of SFP28 connectivity. The 7 m length balances reach and manageability for rack-to-rack or within-rack interconnects. Aqua colouring enables quick identification of the cable type in dense cable environments. The cable is lightweight, simplifies routing in tight spaces and offers consistent signal integrity suitable for InfiniBand and other 25 Gbit/s SFP28 environments.

Key specifications

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your server, switch or storage device until the connector latches. Ensure link modules on both ends are compatible with active optical cables and that firmware or port settings support 25 Gbit/s operation if required. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain recommended bend radius for optical assemblies. After connection, verify link status through device management interfaces and monitor for expected link speed and error counts.

Recommendations

Use this 7 m active optical cable for short-range interconnects where low latency, reduced electromagnetic susceptibility, and compact SFP28 connectivity are required. Avoid tight bends, excessive pulling force and exposure to liquids or corrosive environments. Check device compatibility for SFP28 AOC modules before deployment.
