CBO InfiniBand actieve optische kabel QSFP-AOC-5M-LO-BO, QSFP naar QSFP, 5 m

CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable QSFP-AOC-5M-LO-BO, QSFP to QSFP, 5 m is a 5-meter active optical interconnect with QSFP connectors at both ends. Designed for high-speed server, switch and storage connections in data centers, this active optical cable provides a low-latency, high-bandwidth link for short-reach links within and between racks. The optical design reduces electromagnetic interference and removes the restrictions of traditional copper cables while maintaining compatibility with QSFP ports.

Advantages

The active optical construction delivers higher data rates over a 5 m distance while lowering heat and weight compared to copper equivalents. Optical transmission minimizes susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in dense rack environments. Using QSFP-to-QSFP connectors ensures direct server, switch or storage interconnection without the need for additional transceivers, simplifying deployment and reducing port conversion overhead.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack high-speed links in data centers
• Within-rack connections between servers and top-of-rack switches
• High-bandwidth storage cluster interconnects
• Short-reach InfiniBand fabrics requiring QSFP ports

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP optical connectors
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Length: 5 m
• Application: Short-reach InfiniBand and high-speed interconnects
• Signal: Optical transmission reducing electromagnetic interference

How to use

Install the QSFP-AOC-5M-LO-BO by inserting each QSFP connector into compatible QSFP ports on the devices to be linked. Ensure that both devices support active optical cable links over QSFP and that firmware or driver requirements for InfiniBand operation are met. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; the cable is optimized for rack and within-rack routing. After connection, verify link status and performance via the host or switch management interfaces.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m active optical cable for short-reach, high-bandwidth links where QSFP ports are available. Avoid tight bends and exposure to physical strain, and verify device compatibility with active optical QSFP modules for reliable InfiniBand connectivity.
