BNC-videostekker ShiverPeaks 98802-2 voor RG59 coaxkabel, U-klemverbinding

The BNC Video Connector ShiverPeaks 98802-2 for RG59 coaxial cable with U-clamp termination is a metal BNC plug engineered for use in video and surveillance installations that use RG59 cable. It provides a standard bayonet-style coupling compatible with CCTV cameras, monitors, and analog video equipment. The U-clamp termination secures the cable braid and conductor to ensure stable mechanical connection and consistent electrical contact for signal transfer.

Advantages

The connector combines a compact BNC bayonet interface with a U-clamp fixing method, offering a balance of quick installability and reliable retention. Its metal housing supports good shielding performance and mechanical durability. Designed for RG59 coaxial conductors, the connector minimizes signal loss at the connection point when correctly fitted and maintains a low-profile finish that is suitable for rack-mounted and field installations.

Suitable for

• CCTV camera connections and surveillance systems
• Analog composite video links and monitoring chains
• Broadcast monitoring and video test setups using RG59 cable
• Field installations where a clamp-style termination is preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: BNC male with bayonet coupling
• Termination style: U-clamp for braid and conductor fixation
• Cable compatibility: RG59 coaxial cable
• Material: metal housing providing shielding and mechanical strength
• Application frequency: suitable for standard composite video frequencies and baseband video signals

How to use

Prepare the RG59 cable by stripping the outer jacket and exposing the braid and inner conductor to the dimensions recommended by the connector manufacturer. Position the U-clamp so the braid is captured and the inner conductor aligns with the pin contact. Tighten the clamp to secure the braid around the connector body and confirm the center conductor makes firm contact with the pin. After assembly, engage the BNC bayonet coupling with the mating jack by pushing and twisting until it locks to ensure a stable connection.

Recommendations

For optimal signal performance, use connectors matched to RG59 cable and avoid excessive bending or repeated reassembly at the same point. Inspect the conductor and braid for clean, solid contact before final installation and ensure the bayonet coupling is fully locked to prevent intermittent connections in surveillance and broadcast applications.
