Omschrijving

The CHERRY KC 4500 ERGO is a full-size USB keyboard with a curved ergonomic design and an extra-soft memory foam palm rest to reduce shoulder and wrist strain during extended computer use. It features 109 keys in a QWERTZ Swiss layout, a 1.8 m USB cable and a professional black finish. The keyboard is plug & play and compatible without additional software, while optional CHERRY KEYS software enables individual key assignment and macros.

Advantages

The curved layout and shaped key area encourage a more natural hand and arm position to relieve shoulders and upper back. The extra-soft palm rest with memory foam prevents pressure points and improves comfort during long typing sessions. Three adjustable feet let you raise the front of the keyboard for a more comfortable angle—useful when working standing up—and rubber pads keep the keyboard from slipping. Multimedia functions are integrated in the F-keys and accessed via the FN key for quick control of volume and playback.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

  • Office work and data entry
  • Extended typing sessions where ergonomic support is required
  • Workstations with a wired USB setup
  • Users who prefer a QWERTZ Swiss layout

Key specifications

  • Interface: USB
  • Form factor: Full-size (100%)
  • Layout: QWERTZ (Swiss)
  • Number of keys: 109
  • Cable length: 1.8 m
  • Color: Black

How to use

Connect the keyboard to a free USB port using the 1.8 m cable; the CHERRY KC 4500 ERGO is plug & play and ready to use without installing drivers. Adjust the three front feet to set the preferred typing angle and position the keyboard so your forearms and wrists are relaxed and the palm rest supports the base of your hands. Use the FN key together with the F-keys to access integrated multimedia controls. Install CHERRY KEYS software if you want to customize key assignments, create macros or set quick-access shortcuts.

Recommendations

For best ergonomic benefit, place the keyboard centrally in front of your monitor, keep shoulders relaxed, and periodically change position or take short breaks during long typing sessions. Use the adjustable feet to find a natural wrist angle and rely on the memory foam palm rest to avoid pressure points.
