Coaxiale connector F-type ShiverPeaks BS85006-10

The ShiverPeaks BS85006-10 F-type coaxial connectors provide stable, threaded connections for coax cable used in audio and video signal distribution. Supplied as a pack of ten, these connectors are intended for installation on coaxial cables to maintain consistent impedance and reduce signal loss in domestic and professional AV systems. The construction focuses on durable contact surfaces and mechanical reliability for repeated installations and removals.

Advantages

These F-type connectors are manufactured to offer reliable electrical contact and physical robustness, supporting standard coaxial cable dimensions and common installation practices. The threaded coupling ensures secure mating with compatible female F connectors, while the materials and plating choices reduce corrosion and help preserve signal integrity. Supplied in a multi-pack, they simplify bulk installations and spare-part provisioning.

Suitable for

• Connecting TV antenna and cable TV leads
• Satellite receiver and set-top box cable terminations
• Wiring for home theatre and AV distribution systems
• Repair and replacement of existing coaxial connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: F-type coaxial, threaded coupling
• Quantity: 10 pieces per pack
• Compatibility: standard 75 ohm coaxial cables
• Contact finish: corrosion-resistant plating for consistent signal contact
• Mechanical: designed for repeated screw-on installations

How to use

Prepare the coaxial cable by stripping the outer jacket, braid, and dielectric to the recommended lengths for F-type termination. Slide the connector onto the prepared cable end ensuring the centre conductor is exposed and aligned with the connector pin or sleeve as applicable. Tighten the threaded body securely by hand or with a suitable tool, taking care not to deform the connector or cable. Verify the connection by checking continuity and signal quality once installed into the device or wall plate.

Recommendations

For best results use with standard 75 Ω coaxial cable and avoid over-tightening to prevent damage. Store unused connectors in a dry environment to minimise corrosion risk. When installing many connectors, use consistent strip lengths and a torque-controlled tool where available to ensure uniform performance across all connections.
