Compressie haakse stekker ShiverPeaks 85031-A voor 7,2 mm kabel

The Compression Angle Plug ShiverPeaks 85031-A for 7.2 mm cable is a right-angle coaxial connector designed to provide a compact and secure connection for 7.2 mm diameter coaxial cables. It uses a compression fitting to grip the cable jacket and inner conductor assembly, enabling a low-profile connection point that is suitable for installations where space is limited or where cables must be routed closely along walls or behind equipment. The connector is intended for RF and coaxial signal transmission applications that require a reliable mechanical and electrical connection in a constrained environment.

Advantages

The compression mechanism offers a durable mechanical hold and consistent electrical contact without the need for soldering, reducing installation time and the risk of poor joints. The right-angle form factor minimizes the required clearance behind devices and decreases strain on the cable bend radius. The connector's design supports straightforward assembly and provides stable RF performance in typical coaxial use cases.

Suitable for

• Routing coaxial cable in tight spaces or behind entertainment and networking equipment
• Low-profile RF connections where space behind the device is limited
• Field or in‑shop installations that prefer compression fittings over soldered or crimped joints

Key specifications

• Connector type: right-angle compression coaxial plug
• Compatible cable outer diameter: 7.2 mm
• Connection method: compression fitting for secure mechanical and electrical contact
• Intended use: RF/coaxial signal transmission
• Cable orientation: 90-degree exit for low-profile installations

How to use

Prepare the 7.2 mm coaxial cable by stripping the jacket and inner dielectric to the dimensions recommended for compression installation. Insert the prepared cable into the connector body and engage the compression sleeve or ferrule according to the manufacturer's assembly procedure, ensuring the centre conductor is correctly positioned in the pin contact. Use the appropriate compression tool or torque recommendation for a consistent, secure fit. After assembly, verify mechanical retention and RF continuity before final installation.

Recommendations

Select a compression tool that matches the connector's sleeve design to avoid deforming the connector or cable. Maintain the recommended cable bend radius near the right-angle exit to minimize signal degradation and prolong cable and connector life.
