Conferentie-videoconferentiehub Boom Collaboration BM04-2043 BYOD

Boom Collaboration BM04-2043 BYOD is a conference video conferencing hub designed to centralise connectivity and control in meeting rooms where participants bring their own devices. The unit supports plug-and-play connection of laptops and other endpoints, routes audio and video between cameras, microphones and displays, and simplifies AV management for small to medium meeting spaces. The hub is intended to reduce setup time and provide a consistent interface for hybrid meetings.

Advantages

The BM04-2043 BYOD provides a single connection point for multiple AV devices, reducing cable clutter and making system setup faster. It supports standard AV interfaces for cameras, microphones and displays to ensure compatibility with common conferencing software. The hub enables easier switching between room devices and participant laptops, which improves meeting reliability and decreases interruptions. Its compact form factor allows discreet installation in a tabletop console, credenza or AV rack.

Suitable for

• Small and medium conference rooms
• Huddle spaces and collaboration areas
• Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) meetings and hot-desk environments
• Rooms requiring centralised AV routing and simplified user connections

Key specifications

• Function: conference video conferencing hub for BYOD environments
• Connectivity: centralised inputs and outputs for cameras, microphones and displays
• Compatibility: works with participant laptops and common conferencing applications via standard AV interfaces
• Installation: suitable for tabletop or rack mounting; compact design for integration into meeting-room furniture
• Target room size: small to medium meeting spaces

How to use

Connect room AV devices — camera, ceiling or table microphones, and display(s) — to the hub's corresponding inputs and outputs. Plug a participant laptop into the hub using the provided USB/HDMI or equivalent connection to enable the laptop to use the room camera and microphone as local peripherals. Select the room AV device in the conferencing application on the laptop to route audio and video through the hub. For multi-user sessions, disconnect and reconnect participant devices as needed; the hub manages switching between sources.

Recommendations

Position the hub where cables can be routed cleanly and where access to participant connections is convenient. Use high-quality HDMI/USB cables and ensure the meeting room PC or participant laptops have updated drivers for peripherals. For consistent audio performance, configure the chosen conferencing application to use the room microphone and speaker selected through the hub before starting the meeting.
