DIGITUS HDMI IP Extender Set - 4K/60Hz 120/200 m, PoE, one-to-many, CAT, zwart

DIGITUS DS-55353 is an HDMI over IP extender set designed to deliver 4K video at 60 Hz over standard Ethernet cabling. The kit includes a transmitter and a receiver that convert and transport HDMI signals across network infrastructure, enabling longer runs to remote displays without HDMI cable length limits. It supports high-resolution audio/video and is intended for installations where stable signal distribution and integration with existing network hardware are required.

Advantages

The extender set provides 4K 60Hz transmission over a single network cable up to 120 meters, reducing the need for long HDMI runs. It enables flexible placement of source and display devices by using common Ethernet topology and network switches. The design supports reliable audio and video quality with minimal configuration, and the compact transmitter and receiver units simplify installation in AV racks or behind displays.

Suitable for

• Digital signage in retail environments and public spaces
• Conference rooms and meeting facilities where centralised sources feed multiple displays
• Remote displays in educational institutions and corporate campuses
• Residential AV setups requiring longer cable runs than standard HDMI allows

Key specifications

• Video resolution: up to 4K (3840×2160) at 60 Hz
• Transmission medium: single Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable
• Maximum cable run: up to 120 meters
• Supported signals: HDMI video and multichannel audio pass-through
• Latency: low-latency transmission suitable for real-time content
• Power: external power supply for transmitter and receiver (included in the kit)
• Form factor: compact transmitter and receiver units for discreet installation

How to use

Connect the HDMI output of your video source to the transmitter unit and connect the receiver unit to the display via HDMI. Link the transmitter and receiver using a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable, or integrate both units into a network switch if distributing to multiple receivers. Apply power to both units using the supplied adapters, then set the display to the correct HDMI input. Basic configuration is typically plug-and-play; advanced network setups may require addressing or switch configuration to ensure proper traffic routing.

Recommendations

For best performance, use high-quality Cat6 cabling and ensure network switches support the necessary bandwidth if the extender is integrated into a LAN. Avoid running the Ethernet cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce interference. Verify that connected displays and source devices are configured for 4K60 output, and check cable lengths and connectors if signal issues occur.
