Digitus netwerkkabel CAT 6 S/FTP outdoor-patchkabel RJ-45 Cat6 10 m zwart

The DIGITUS Network Cable CAT 6 S/FTP outdoor patch cord (10 m) provides high-performance network connectivity for outdoor and indoor installations. Designed to meet ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 standards, the cable supports transmission up to 250 MHz and is built with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. It features RJ-45 connectors on both ends, a molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection, and a UV-resistant LDPE sheath for reliable use in sunlight-exposed environments.

Advantages

The Category 6 construction and S/FTP shielding deliver stable high-speed data transmission and reduced crosstalk (NEXT) up to 250 MHz. Molded boots with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection increase connector durability and reduce the risk of damage during installation. The UV-resistant LDPE outer sheath makes this patch cord suitable for outdoor exposure and temperature fluctuations, and the cable is PoE+ ready for power-over-Ethernet applications.

Suitable for

• Outdoor and indoor Ethernet connections requiring Cat6 performance
• Network links exposed to sunlight or temperature variation
• PoE/PoE+ powered devices such as access points, cameras and VoIP phones
• Patch panels, switches and wall outlets with RJ-45 ports

Key specifications

• Standard: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173 Category 6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually foiled pairs)
• Frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Length: 10 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Black
• Sheath: UV-resistant LDPE
• PoE: PoE+ ready

How to use

Connect each RJ-45 connector to the corresponding network device or port (switch, patch panel, router, or network interface). Ensure connectors click into place and the molded boot strain relief is seated to avoid sharp bends near the connector. Route the cable to avoid excessive tension, sharp edges and sources of mechanical damage. For outdoor runs, secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties, keeping it clear of high-heat surfaces and ensuring proper drainage where necessary.

Recommendations

For long-term outdoor installations, verify local regulations and use additional protective conduits or UV-stable cable trays if the cable will be continuously exposed to direct sunlight or severe weather. For best performance, keep maximum bend radius and avoid repeated flexing at connector ends.
