DIGITUS USB Type-C naar DisplayPort bidirectioneel, max. resolutie 8K 30 Hz, lengte 2 m, zwart

The DIGITUS USB Type-C <=> DisplayPort Bi-Directional Adapter Cable (2 m) enables video and audio transmission between USB Type-C and DisplayPort devices in both directions. It supports DP Alt Mode and DisplayPort 1.4 (backwards compatible with DP 1.3/1.2/1.1). Power is supplied via the USB port so no external power adapter is required. The cable has a reversible USB Type-C plug and a DisplayPort connector and is suitable for connecting laptops, tablets or PCs to monitors, TVs or projectors.

Advantages

The adapter cable supports UHD resolutions up to 8K @ 30 Hz, 4K @ 144 Hz and 2K @ 165 Hz where source and display allow these modes. It offers bidirectional signal transmission (USB-C to DisplayPort and DisplayPort to USB-C), requires no external power, and uses a reversible Type-C plug for easy connection. It is downward compatible with earlier DisplayPort standards and carries both video and audio signals.

Suitable for

• Connecting a USB-C laptop, tablet or smartphone to a DisplayPort monitor, TV or projector
• Connecting a PC with DisplayPort output to a monitor or display with USB-C input
• Home cinema setups and high-resolution gaming where high refresh rates or high resolutions are required
• Presentations and professional workflows that need direct video output without additional adapters

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB Type-C (reversible)
• Connector 2: DisplayPort
• Cable length: 2 m
• DisplayPort version: 1.4 (backwards compatible with 1.3/1.2/1.1)
• Supported resolutions: up to 8K @ 30 Hz, 4K @ 144 Hz, 2K @ 165 Hz (dependent on source and display)
• Power supply: via USB port (no external power required)
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect the USB Type-C end to a USB-C capable source or display and the DisplayPort end to the corresponding DisplayPort device. The cable automatically negotiates DP Alt Mode when supported by the USB-C host. No external power adapter is needed because the cable receives power through the USB port. On macOS use mirroring or extended desktop modes as supported by the device; on Windows use duplicate or extend display settings in the system display options.

Recommendations

Ensure both source and display support the intended resolution and refresh rate. Use the shortest practical cable length to minimise signal loss and check that the USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode when connecting to a DisplayPort display.
