Doorboor/nagelset/priem Gedore 8721050

The Gedore 8721050 punch/nail set is made from chrome-molybdenum-vanadium air-hardening steel (45CrMoV7) and has been carefully hardened and tempered along its full length. The striking head is inductively tempered, the working edge is polished and coated with a clear varnish. This tool weighs 63 g and is intended for precision punching and driving small nails or creating indentations in various materials.

Advantages

Manufactured from high-strength 45CrMoV7 steel, the punch offers good wear resistance and dimensional stability due to full-length hardening and tempering. The inductively tempered striking head provides improved resistance to impact damage, while the polished working edge ensures accurate, clean punches. A clear varnish finish helps protect the surface from corrosion.

How to use

Position the punch at the desired point and hold it perpendicular to the work surface. Strike the inductively tempered head with an appropriate hammer to create an indentation or to drive a small nail or pin. For precise marking, apply controlled, light strikes and check alignment before each blow. Keep the working edge clean and free from burrs to maintain accuracy.

Recommendations

Use eye protection when striking and select a hammer appropriate for the punch size. Avoid using the tool on hardened steel surfaces or for prying. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion despite the protective varnish.
