Netwerkkabel M-Cab EC020200237 RJ-45 Cat8.1 2 m blauw

The M-Cab EC020200237 RJ-45 Cat8.1 networking cable is a 2 m blue cable designed for high-speed wired connections. Compliant with the Cat8.1 standard, it supports data transfer rates up to 40000 Mbit/s and uses S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to maintain signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic interference. The cable is suitable for installations where reliable, low-latency Ethernet links are required between devices with RJ-45 ports.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding construction reduces crosstalk and external interference for stable transmission at high data rates. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide reliable contact and corrosion resistance for long-term performance. Its 2 m length offers a balance between flexibility and reach for typical desktop, rack, or home network layouts. The blue jacket makes cable routing and identification straightforward in multi-cable environments.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections between switches, routers and servers
• Workstation or desktop network links
• Patch panel to switch or switch-to-switch short runs
• Environments requiring shielded cables to reduce electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat8.1
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Length: 2 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your network device and the other RJ-45 plug to the corresponding port on the switch, router or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the link. For best performance, avoid tight bends and kinks in the cable and maintain a reasonable separation from high-power electrical lines where possible. Verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices if the expected throughput is not achieved.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 S/FTP cable for short to medium runs (such as 2 m) in high-performance local networks. Avoid routing the cable near heavy electrical equipment to minimise interference and handle connectors by the plug body when inserting or removing to prevent strain on the contacts.
