Draadloze adapter TP-Link Archer T4U Plus dual-band Wi-Fi 5

The TP-Link Archer T4U Plus is a dual-band USB wireless adapter that adds 802.11ac (Wi‑Fi 5) connectivity to desktop or laptop computers. It supports simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation with combined throughput up to 1.2 Gbps (up to 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz). The adapter has a black desktop-style housing and connects via USB 3.0 for improved transfer rates.

Advantages

Dual-band Wi‑Fi and 802.11ac support provide faster data rates and lower interference by allowing you to use 2.4 GHz for general tasks and 5 GHz for latency-sensitive activities. Two external 5 dBi high‑gain antennas increase signal range and stability, reducing drops and improving throughput through walls and across floors. The USB 3.0 interface helps the adapter reach the higher transfer capabilities of the Wi‑Fi standard, while the 1.0 m cable and adjustable multi‑directional antenna allow flexible placement for better reception.

Suitable for

• Web browsing, email and social media on the 2.4 GHz band
• Online gaming, HD video streaming and large downloads on the 5 GHz band
• Upgrading desktops or laptops without built‑in 802.11ac support

How to use

Plug the Archer T4U Plus into an available USB 3.0 port on your computer and install the driver or utility supplied by TP‑Link (or use the operating system’s built‑in driver if available). Position the adapter using the desktop stand and rotate the antennas to the optimal angle for signal reception. Select the appropriate Wi‑Fi band in your network settings: choose 2.4 GHz for basic browsing and 5 GHz for gaming or streaming.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect the adapter to a USB 3.0 port, place the adapter where it has a clear line of sight to the router when possible, and use the 5 GHz band for high‑bandwidth tasks. Keep firmware and drivers up to date to ensure compatibility and stability.
