DSIT DANICOM CAT6 outdoor-UTP-kabel – 20 m – zwart (DC-OUT-C60-200)

Extend your network beyond the walls of your building with the DSIT DANICOM CAT6 Outdoor UTP Cable. This 20-meter black cable is built for permanent outdoor installation, connecting IP security cameras, outdoor Wi-Fi access points, or garden office network drops with reliable Gigabit performance. Its solid bare copper conductors and UV-resistant PE jacket withstand sun, rain, and temperature swings from -40°C to 60°C, making it suitable for direct burial or exposed runs along walls and eaves.

Key specifications

• Category 6 performance, 250 MHz bandwidth, 1 Gbps data rate
• Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) construction with 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors
• 20-meter length, black PE (polyethylene) jacket, UV and weather resistant
• RJ45 male connectors on both ends with gold-plated contacts
• Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for powering devices over the same cable
• Compliant with TIA/EIA-568-C.2 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards
• Operating temperature range: -40°C to 60°C; direct burial capable

Why choose it

Unlike indoor cables that degrade quickly outdoors, this CAT6 cable is specifically engineered for harsh conditions. The PE jacket resists moisture, UV radiation, and temperature extremes, ensuring stable performance year after year. Solid copper conductors provide superior signal integrity over longer distances and are ideal for PoE applications, reducing voltage drop and heat buildup compared to copper-clad alternatives. With pre-attached RJ45 plugs, installation is plug-and-play—no crimping or special tools required.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting outdoor IP cameras for surveillance systems
• Extending Wi-Fi coverage with outdoor access points
• Linking a garden office, shed, or workshop to the main network
• Running network lines along exterior walls or under eaves
• Direct burial in conduit or suitable protective ducting

Good to know

The cable is unshielded (UTP), so avoid running it parallel to high-voltage power lines over long distances to minimize interference. While the jacket is rugged, it's recommended to use conduit when burying in rocky soil or areas with rodent activity. The pre-terminated RJ45 connectors are gold-plated for corrosion resistance, but for permanent outdoor connections, consider using weatherproof RJ45 couplers or junction boxes to protect the plug-socket interface.
