Externe video-adapter SILVERSTONE EP16 USB-C 3.1 met HDMI- en VGA-uitgangen

The SILVERSTONE EP16 USB-C 3.1 external video adapter provides HDMI and VGA outputs for connecting a laptop or compatible device to an external monitor, TV or projector. Designed to work with USB-C 3.1 ports that support DisplayPort Alternate Mode, this compact adapter enables screen extension, mirroring and connection to legacy VGA displays without modifying the host device. It is a practical option when a built-in HDMI or VGA port is not available or when a secondary display is required for presentations, multitasking or classroom and meeting-room setups.

Advantages

The adapter combines HDMI and VGA outputs in a single USB-C 3.1 connector for flexible display options. Its plug-and-play operation eliminates the need for additional drivers on most modern operating systems, and the compact design makes it convenient to carry with a laptop. The adapter supports common display modes such as screen extension and duplication, allowing quick switching between work and presentation configurations.

Use an HDMI cable to connect the adapter’s HDMI output to a monitor or TV, or use a VGA cable to connect to a projector or legacy display. The host system should detect the external display automatically; if necessary, configure display arrangement and resolution in the operating system’s display settings. Switch between mirrored and extended modes as required for presentations or multitasking.

Recommendations

Verify that the host device’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode before use. Use high-quality HDMI or VGA cables for reliable signal transmission, and select appropriate resolution and refresh rate settings in the operating system to match the connected display’s capabilities.
